June 17th, The Clapham Grand Theatre, 10:30 -5pm
Since our inception, TEDxClapham* has been providing a platform for the world's leading thinkers and doers to share ideas that create change across every discipline - be it technology, entertainment, design, science, humanities, entrepreneurship, innovation and development. As a result, our 2015 and 2016 conferences have had an incredible impact in Clapham and beyond. Our talks have been seen by over 1,800,000 people across the world, and have even played their part in changing legislation on sexual assault.
This year, we are taking it to a new level! While there was no conference in 2017, we were working hard behind the scenes preparing something really special. Having been invited to TEDFEST, a special conference for TEDx organisers last year we are excited to announce that TED have given us permission to grow the size of our conference, which means more impact than ever!
On Sunday 17th June 2018, we will be inviting Clapham's finest thinkers and doers to share their 'idea worth spreading' our third event, where we will explore the theme ‘Grow‘ at The Clapham Grand theatre.
*In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxClapham, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxClapham events, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
